Thank you, Boyd

After approximately 30 years of managing ticket sales for the Hythe Venetian Fete as a volunteer, the time has come for Boyd Garrard to step back from this role.

Boyd managed the seated ticketing sales from his office at Blue Shield Insurance Services. He says: "It has been a privilege to support such a unique and much-loved local tradition for so many years. I want to express my sincere thanks to the wonderful staff in Blue Shield Office who have worked alongside me, and to the many teams of volunteers who joined me in the office in the run-up to each Fete.  Their hard work, good humour, and commitment have made the manual ticket-selling operation not only possible, but enjoyable. Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way – it has been an honour to play a small part in keeping this special event thriving."

Steve Way, Chair of the Hythe Venetian Fete commented: "We are exceptionally grateful to Boyd for his time over the years. He has played a significant role in ensuring people are able to watch the Fete comfortably. Many of the people who book our seated tickets return Fete after Fete and will have got to know Boyd and his team well. His charm and pleasant manner will be missed, but we wish him well for the future."
