Hythe Venetian Fete fireworks display

Unfortunately, the Hythe Venetian Fete fireworks cannot take place this year. We are exploring with the fireworks contractor whether we can hold the display later in the year.

The Hythe Venetian Fete is organised by local volunteers who have full-time jobs and families, and the same safety concerns.

Without these volunteers, the Fete simply would not happen. Alongside trying to make alternative arrangements for the fireworks, we are supporting all our competitors, responding to queries about ticket sales, managing stallholders and building the Fete grounds. There is a huge amount of work behind the scenes to make sure the fete is safe and a success – and only a very small team of people is doing this.

The number of emails and social media messages has been overwhelming. Please understand that we note all messages and emails, but we cannot respond to them all.
