About Hythe Venetian Fete

Hythe Venetian Fete has been held on the Royal Military Canal in Hythe, Kent (mostly bi-annually) since 1890.

Locals and visitors to the Fete may be surprised to learn it is not an event organised by local or district councils. It is led by the Hythe Venetian Fete Society, a limited company that makes no profits for directors. All income is used to deliver Hythe Venetian Fete.

A committee of unpaid volunteers organises the event every other year. They are:
